The task of the Liturgical Commission is essentially a spiritual work; it is the work of God's people, set aside to praise God in worship and holiness of life. It works to ensure that the community's worship is truly fitting and reverent. It strives to ensure that the Sunday celebration is the highlight of parish life and that the sacraments are properly celebrated. The Commission also works to help people grow in prayer life and encourages times of retreat and reflection for individuals, groups and the entire parish. It is also committed to helping people learn more about God's Word in the Scriptures.

The Liturgical Commission endeavors to support the integration of liturgy and life in such a way that God's people can reach spiritual maturity. The Commission's aim must always be to help people grow in Christ; to develop the gifts and virtues that he has given them and to use them for the benefit of the whole community.
